Frequently Asked Questions
We're Here to Answer all your Questions
My windshield is fine as long as the crack isn’t in my line of sight, right?
Do you provide mobile service?
Do you guarantee your work?
Are your technicians trained?
Yes, all of Fas-Break’s technicians have at least 5 years experience in the industry. We also participate in continuing education through online seminars to keep up on the latest in auto glass technology.
What type of glass does your shop use?
Fas-Break Auto Glass uses what’s known as “OEM distributor” glass. This means that your new glass will be made to the same specifications as originally installed by the factory, with the exception of the dealer’s logo – which OEM distributor glass doesn’t have.
Are the quotes you give me the guaranteed final price?
Yes and no. In most cases, the quote that you receive via e-mail or phone includes the cost of materials, labor and tax. The only exception is when there is damage to the frame or a significant amount of rust on the pinch weld, as this may result in extra labor costs to fix the damaged area.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, Fas-Break is an in-network shop with every major insurance company. You can either call Fas-Break and we will walk you through the claims process, or simply tell your insurance provider you would like to use Fas-Break to install your auto glass.
Can you bill my insurance?
Absolutely. At the time of your installation, you are only liable for your deductible and Fas-Break will bill your insurance for the rest.
Can you replace or repair my auto glass without me being present?
Yes. However, we will need your verbal or written authorization and access to your vehicle. The vehicle will need to be left unlocked to complete the work. For power door glass, we will need the keys in order to get power to the door. We would be happy to lock the vehicle and return the keys when completed.
If I leave the state and I have an issue with the installation will I be covered?
Yes. Fas-Break offers a nationwide lifetime warranty. Give us a call and we will locate a reputable auto glass company that will take care of any of your warranty concerns. We will take care of the billing directly with that company and there will be no cost to you.
Why do you need my VIN?
Most new vehicles have many options integrated into the windshield and use can have up to 6 different part numbers for the same vehicle. The VIN helps us make sure we get the correct part number for your vehicle.
